Assignment - Quiz

Instructions

  • Throughout the semester, there will be approximately 10 quizzes (+/- 1). Most modules will have a quiz, but not all. The specific modules without quizzes will not be disclosed in advance.
  • Each quiz will consist of 4 multiple-choice questions.
  • Quizzes are open-book, but using a search engine or LLMs is not allowed.
  • Quiz questions will be based on:
    • Important readings for the upcoming lecture.
    • Previous lecture slides.
  • Quizzes will be administered at the beginning of class. If you are late, you will miss the quiz. You will not be able to take the quiz once it's over because quiz answers will be discussed during the class.
  • Students cannot take quizzes remotely unless explicitely allowed for family, work, and health reasons. This is not allowed because cheating is very easy in a remote setting.
  • Your two lowest quiz scores will be automatically dropped when calculating your final quiz grade.
  • To achieve full marks (20 points, or 20% of your total grade), you need to answer at least 80% of the quiz questions correctly across the semester, after dropping your two lowest quiz scores.
  • If you score less than 80% correct answers, your final quiz grade will be scaled according to the proportion of correct answers you achieved, relative to 80%, and then multiplied by 20 points.
  • Examples:

Name 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 TOTAL Points (Final Grade)
